This East Coast fleet hires new CDL-A drivers and provides paid on-the-road training with a driver trainer for 4 to 6 weeks. Trainees earn $650 per week while training. After sign-off, drivers operate solo in their own truck and receive a guaranteed $1,000 per week for three months after their first solo dispatch. Freight runs up and down the eastern seaboard, with routes generally not going too far west. Drivers average about 2,500 miles per week and are home every two weeks. Most loads are drop and hook. Average weekly gross pay is $1,200 to $1,500. Starting pay is $0.55 per mile, increasing by $0.01 for each year of experience up to $0.65 per mile, with $15 stop pay and a performance bonus plan. Health, dental, and vision insurance are available after 30 days. The company also offers a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, $300 orientation pay, and covered orientation travel. Applicants must have a Class A CDL and be at least 21 years old. New drivers need at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school; experienced drivers need qualifying recent OTR experience. Applicants must meet the stated driving-record standards and pass hair and urine drug testing. The employer is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
