CDL-A Trainee Truck Driver
About The Position
We are currently hiring recent CDL-A graduates directly out of Gulfport, Biloxi, Harrison County, and the surrounding MS Coast area. Instead of turning away new drivers for lack of experience, our Paid Mentor Program gives you the real-world OTR miles, professional guidance, and financial stability needed to launch a successful solo driving career. This position offers 100% no-touch dry van freight, no unpaid waiting weeks, and clear-cut terms from day one. The mentorship program includes 4 to 6 weeks of paid training, guaranteed weekly pay, and a seamless transition to full solo rates upon completion. New hires also receive $300 paid orientation with hotel room and transportation provided.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a valid Class A CDL.
- Hold a valid DOT Medical Card.
- Graduate from an accredited CDL school (120+ hours) OR have under 6 months of recent OTR experience.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Pass a standard background check.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Gain real OTR experience alongside an experienced mentor during the 4 to 6-week paid training period.
- Transition to full solo driving rates after completing the mentorship program.
- Operate late-model (2022 or newer) Kenworth or Freightliner trucks with automatic transmission and APU.
- Transport dry van loads, with approximately 70% drop-and-hook.
- Drive an average of 2,200 to 2,800 miles per week across established East of I-35 lanes.
- Adhere to a schedule of 12 days out and 2 days home for OTR rotations out of the Gulfport area.
