This paid training program is for drivers who have earned a CDL but have no driving experience on paper. Trainees ride with a mentor for 4 to 6 weeks and receive $650 per week during training. After training, drivers operate solo and receive a $1,000 weekly guarantee for their first three months. Average weekly gross pay is $1,200 to $1,800, with 1,800 to 2,900 miles per week. Additional pay includes $15 per stop and $75 or more for miles on short hauls. Drivers handle a mix of customers and freight types and travel anywhere east of Denver except the Northeast. Home time is every two weeks. Some cold-weather driving in northern areas is required during winter. Holiday work is voluntary. The package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and $300 for paid orientation with travel covered. Riders and pets are permitted after training is complete.
