About The Position
Walmart is hiring a CDL-A Regional Driver for a dedicated regional operation based at its distribution center in Shafter, California. Freight originates at 2701 Driver Road, Shafter, CA 93263, with deliveries throughout California and Nevada. Loads typically involve 1–5 stops, and may include backhauls to the distribution center. Freight is no-touch. Drivers use a mix of 53-foot dry van and refrigerated trailers, along with automatic sleeper tractors. Trucks must be parked at the distribution center when not in use. Drivers average approximately 1,700 miles per week and are home weekly for a 34-hour reset, typically with 34–48 hours off per week and possible midweek home time. Shift start times are between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Average weekly pay is $1,350, with top weekly pay of $1,650. Average annual pay is $68,265, with top annualized pay of $85,232. Pay includes experience-based mileage-band pay and stop pay. A $1,000 holiday start bonus is offered.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 4 months of tractor-trailer experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
- No SAP drivers.
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the distribution center.
Responsibilities
