Local CDL-A Shuttle Driver – $70K + $5K Bonus
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated CDL-A Local Shuttle Driver for a frozen-grocery shuttle account. In this role, you will shuttle refrigerated trailers between Massachusetts and Connecticut facilities, with occasional local deliveries or trailer moves as needed. Drivers will start and end each shift at the Fall River yard. This position offers home daily, no-touch drop-and-hook freight, and a $5,000 bonus. The operation supports a distribution facility in Westfield, MA, with shuttle runs to relay yards in Milford and West Haven, CT. Drivers can expect to make a minimum of 3 shuttles per day, with approximately 5-10 possible depending on the destination. While the primary focus is shuttling, drivers may also assist with store transfers, trailer moves, local backhauls, and supermarket deliveries, which may involve 2-3 stops per trailer with electric pallet-jack unloading and return-product or backhaul pickups. Please note that deliveries in New York City are not part of this role. Drivers will operate automatic trucks and should expect to slip-seat. Trucks cannot be taken home.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable truck-driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- No SAP drivers
- Reliable transportation to and from the Fall River yard
- Must be able to perform pre-trip inspections and inspect tractor and trailer tires
- Must operate safely and legally
- Must demonstrate good customer-service skills
- Must be flexible to assist with store deliveries and other account work when needed
