About The Position

This local reefer position out of Shelbyville, IN is built for drivers who want consistency without giving up their evenings. Drivers will be home every night and will handle reefer freight, groceries, using dual and tri-temp trailers. The trucks are 2023 Freightliner day cabs with automatic transmissions. All driver unload is required, using a pallet jack with some hand unloading. The position features outward-facing cameras only and no slip seat assignment, meaning the truck is not taken home. The average length of haul is under 150 miles.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• At least 6 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years (local experience considered)
• No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
• No more than 3 DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 years
• No more than 10 jobs in the past 3 years
• Current medical card accepted if 6 or more months remain (must not be chiropractor issued)

Responsibilities

• Drive a local reefer route
• Handle reefer freight, groceries, using dual and tri-temp trailers
• Perform driver unload using a pallet jack with some hand unloading
• Maintain on-time performance and attendance
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies
