About The Position

This local reefer position out of Shelbyville, IN is built for drivers who want consistency without giving up their evenings. Drivers will average 1,600 miles per week and 10 stops per week, with an average length of haul under 150 miles. The freight consists of groceries, and drivers will be using dual and tri-temp trailers. Drivers will be responsible for all driver unload, using a pallet jack with some hand unloading. The trucks are 2023 Freightliner day cabs with automatic transmissions. There are outward-facing cameras only, and no slip seat assignment, meaning the truck is not taken home.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• At least 6 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years (local experience considered)
• No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
• No more than 3 DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 years
• No more than 10 jobs in the past 3 years
• Current medical card accepted if 6 or more months remain (must not be chiropractor issued)

Responsibilities

• Drive a local reefer route
• Transport groceries
• Perform all driver unload using a pallet jack and some hand unloading
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies
