About The Position

Happy Mile USA LLC is hiring an experienced CDL-A Local Driver to support our growing transportation and logistics operations in Laredo, Texas. We specialize in the safe, compliant transportation of high-value and regulated freight, including refrigerated products, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and industrial cargo throughout Texas and the Southern United States. If you have a strong safety record, experience operating Dry Van and Reefer trailers, and are looking for a stable local driving position with competitive pay and excellent benefits, we'd like to hear from you.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (I-9 required)
• Must meet FMCSA English proficiency requirements for commercial drivers (49 CFR §391.11)
• 3+ years of CDL Class A driving experience (Reefer, Dry Van)
• Availability after hours and on weekends
• Clean driving record and strong safety awareness
• Valid CDL Class A, DOT Medical Card
• Must pass DOT drug screening and Clearinghouse query as required by federal regulations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform essential driver duties

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Samsara ELD and hazmat or temperature-controlled freight

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Safely operate Class A equipment (Dry Van, Reefer)
• Take trucks to preventative maintenance
• Load/Unload trailers
• Follow Hours of Service (HOS) rules and maintain accurate logs (Samsara ELD)
• Deliver cargo on schedule while protecting company and customer assets
• Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers
• Possible routes throughout Texas
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
