About The Position

NIS Express is looking for motivated people in Fernandina Beach, FL who are ready to turn their CDL into a full-time career. No road experience needed, just your CDL and the drive to succeed. This is a regional driving position with paid training, offering a comprehensive program to ensure you are ready for solo driving. You will be paired with a personal trainer who rides with you, teaches you, and evaluates you before you go solo, earning a paycheck the entire time. The training covers safe operation of a Class A tractor-trailer, electronic logging, pre and post-trip inspections, and dispatch communication. Freight is no-touch dry van, with approximately 70% drop and hook. Trucks are late model Freightliner or Kenworth with APUs. Routes are regional, east of I-35, with home time every week or every other week. Weekly pay ranges from $1,200 to $1,500.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• 21 years of age or older
• 120 or more hours completed at an accredited CDL school
• Clean driving record
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class A tractor-trailer in full compliance with DOT regulations
• Freight is dry van, no-touch, approximately 70% drop and hook
• Maintain on-time delivery performance
• Complete accurate ELD logs, DVIRs, and trip documentation daily
• Inspect your vehicle before and after every run
• Keep communication with dispatch and customers professional at all times
