About The Position

This CDL-A Driver position is for new CDL graduates and experienced drivers operating a reefer fleet based near the Memphis hub. New drivers receive 4 to 6 weeks of mentor training at $850 per week. After solo dispatch, drivers receive a $1,000 weekly guarantee for 3 months. After that period, average weekly pay is $1,300 to $1,500, with $25 stop pay and approximately 1,800 to 2,000 miles per week. Drivers are home about every two weeks once running solo. Freight runs on reefer lanes between Texas and Tennessee, Illinois, and Georgia, with a mix of drop-and-hook and live loads. Equipment includes late-model Freightliners with automatic transmissions and 10-speeds. Pets and riders are permitted after training. Benefits become available after 30 days and include health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k), a stock purchase program, an employee assistance program, and free online college for the driver and one dependent. Orientation pay is $300.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Hold a valid Class A CDL.
Have completed at least 120 hours of CDL school.
Experienced-driver eligibility: 6 months of OTR experience in the past 12 months or 12 months in the past 5 years; trainees are welcome.
Have no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years.
Have no major preventable accidents in 5 years.
Have no DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years.
Pass hair and urine drug testing.
Provide 3 years of verifiable employment.

Responsibilities

Complete mentor training and transition to solo dispatch.
Transport reefer freight on lanes between Texas and Tennessee, Illinois, and Georgia.
Handle a mix of drop-and-hook and live loads.
