About The Position

This refrigerated-freight driving role is open to new CDL graduates and includes paid mentor training. Training lasts 4 to 6 weeks at $650 per week. After solo dispatch, drivers are guaranteed $1,000 per week for the first three months; average weekly pay is $1,300 to $1,500, with a monthly performance-based bonus. Drivers typically run 1,900 to 2,500 solo miles per week on refrigerated loads and are home every two weeks. The operation hubs out of Atlanta, with north Alabama described as being in the lane. Drivers do not unload freight. Drivers use late-model Freightliners. Pets and riders are allowed after training. Orientation takes two days or less and pays $300. Medical, dental, and vision benefits begin after 30 days. The employer also offers a 401(k), an employee stock purchase plan, and free online degree access for the driver and one dependent.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
Must be at least 21 years old.
At least 120 hours of CDL school.
Experienced drivers must have 6 months of OTR experience in the last 12 months or 12 months in the last 5 years.
No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years and no serious violations in 12 months.
No major preventable accidents in 5 years.
No DUI/DWI within 5 to 10 years, depending on CDL date.
Hair and urine drug testing.
Three years of verifiable employment.

Responsibilities

Drive refrigerated freight loads, typically covering 1,900 to 2,500 solo miles per week.
