About The Position
TOMRA, an international recycling company, is hiring a CDL-A Route Driver in Rotterdam, NY. The role involves delivering and picking up goods, maintaining customer relations while on route, and using a handheld device to track inventory and client relations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 7:00 am start and work hours listed as 7:00 am–5:00 pm; overtime is available. Drivers return home daily and work year-round in a union environment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of CDL-A driving experience.
- A satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds.
- Knowledge of how to use handheld devices such as smartphones or similar devices, or ability to learn these skills.
- Experience in client relations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for deliveries and pickups to ensure timely service.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo.
- Maintain contact with dispatch to receive delivery or pickup instructions and notices of schedule changes.
- Maintain customer relations while on route.
- Lift 25–50 pounds while loading and unloading trucks.
- Use a handheld device to track inventory and client relations.
