About The Position
NIS Express is seeking entry-level Class A drivers for dry van routes across Oklahoma. This position offers real training and pay for recently licensed drivers, with a structured program to ensure new drivers are well-prepared. Drivers will be paired with a trainer for 4 to 6 weeks, running actual freight, before operating independently. The training covers safe operation of a Class A tractor-trailer, ELD systems, hours-of-service compliance, inspection procedures, and company protocols.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum age 21
- 120 or more hours from an accredited CDL school
- Clean driving record
- Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
Responsibilities
- Haul dry van freight, mainly east of I-35
- Bi-weekly home time
- Full DOT regulation compliance
- Accurate ELD logs and DVIRs
- Thorough equipment inspections, every shift
- Professional communication with dispatch
Benefits
- Training pay: $650/week
- First 3 months: $1,000/week guaranteed
- After that: $1,400 to $1,800/week average
