About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a local delivery driver to deliver food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and other customers while building customer relationships. Drivers work day shifts on local routes and return home every day. The role involves unloading cases weighing up to 100 pounds and using a ramp and two-wheeler during the shift. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a start time between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. and work continuing until the route is finished. Drivers average $60,000–$80,000 per year, with a guaranteed minimum of $1,100 per week. Compensation includes daily base pay and component pay for each mile driven, stop made, and case delivered. Benefits begin on day one and include affordable plans, weekly pay, wellness reimbursement, and profit sharing and a 401(k) with company match.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Class A CDL at hire.
• Be able to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
• Be able to lift up to 100 pounds throughout the shift.
• Be able to read, write, and communicate in English for job-related tasks.
• Successfully pass a drug test, including screening for marijuana, and a background check.
• Have a clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
• Be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers including restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities.

• Read labels, pick lists, scanner information, signage, benefits and company updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions.
• Maintain a clean driving record according to Department of Transportation and Gordon Food Service standards.
• Register with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.
