CDL A Delivery Driver
About The Position
Gordon Food Service is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver to deliver food products to customers including restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities. Drivers build relationships with customers while servicing local routes and are home every day. This day-shift role involves unloading cases weighing up to 100 pounds and using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout the shift. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a start time between 3 AM and 5 AM and work continuing until the route is finished. Drivers average $80,000–$90,000 per year, with daily base pay plus component pay, a minimum weekly guarantee of $1,100, and pay for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- Class A CDL license at hire.
- Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
- Successfully pass a drug test, including testing for marijuana, and a background check.
- Clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
- Register with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.
