About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a local delivery driver in Cleveland, Ohio. The role involves delivering food products to customers such as restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities while building customer relationships. Drivers work day shifts on local routes and return home every day. The position requires unloading cases weighing up to 100 pounds and using a ramp and two-wheeler. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. and work continuing until the route is finished. Drivers receive daily base pay plus component pay for each mile driven, stop made, and case delivered. Drivers average $70,000 per year. The company offers weekly pay and states that drivers are guaranteed a route.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a Class A CDL at hire or obtain one within 90 days of the start date.
Be able to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
Have a clean driving record meeting DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
Be registered with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.
