CDL-A Regional Dry Van Driver – DOLLAR TREE ACOOUNT | Cowpens, SC
About The Position
This is a full-time dedicated retail driving position hauling freight for the Dollar Tree account from the Cowpens, South Carolina distribution center. Drivers deliver across South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio. The role averages approximately 1,100 miles per week, three loads per week, and about three stops per load. Trailers are hand-unloaded using rollers. Backhaul loads to the distribution center are typically no-touch live loads. Drivers receive a weekly 34-hour reset at home. Days off are either Friday night through Saturday or Saturday night through Sunday. Drivers should be prepared for an active delivery schedule. Automatic sleeper trucks and 53-foot dry van trailers are provided. Drivers may take the truck home if it can be parked safely and securely; parking near Cowpens is available for eligible drivers who live nearby. There are 10 openings.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 3 months of truck driving experience.
- Ability to hand-unload trailers using rollers.
- Ability to complete multiple stops per load.
- Safe and secure truck parking if taking equipment home.
- Drivers with SAP are not eligible.
Responsibilities
- Haul retail freight from the Cowpens, South Carolina distribution center to delivery areas across the Southeast and surrounding states.
- Complete approximately three loads and three stops per load on average.
- Hand-unload trailers using rollers.
- Return backhaul loads to the distribution center; these are typically no-touch live loads.
- Park the truck safely and securely if taking equipment home.
