About The Position

Challenge Unlimited is seeking a Child Development Center Supervisor for the Fort Leonard Wood Army Base in Saint Robert, Missouri. The Child Development Center Supervisor will oversee operations, lead and support a diverse workforce, ensure quality service delivery, customer satisfaction, workplace safety, and employee development. This role involves hands-on leadership, training, coaching, and supporting employees and clients in performing duties while fostering a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused work environment. The supervisor will act as a liaison between the work crew, management, and contract site representatives to ensure contract requirements are met.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of janitorial experience.
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or training role.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills required.
  • Must have a valid Class E Driver’s License.
  • Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria.
  • Must maintain valid driver’s license and be 21 or older to drive.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency.
  • Must be able to pass criminal and state federal background checks as well as DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System Check.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support employees and clients performing janitorial services at assigned locations.
  • Train, coach, and mentor staff on job duties, safety procedures, quality standards, and company expectations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, assessments, and ongoing performance feedback.
  • Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, employee development, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Promote a positive company culture built on respect, accountability, teamwork, and inclusion.
  • Communicate employee, client, and customer concerns to management and recommend solutions when appropriate.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with contract requirements, company policies, OSHA regulations, and customer expectations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for employees, clients, and customers.
  • Conduct safety training, inspections, and ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Complete incident and accident reports and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Support the Project Manager with contract administration and operational requirements.
  • Assist crews with completing janitorial tasks as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, common areas, offices, break rooms, and other assigned spaces.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, empty trash receptacles, and perform routine cleaning duties.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemical storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Ensure all contract services are completed to quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
  • Address and resolve service deficiencies and customer concerns promptly.
  • Communicate contract updates, changes, and expectations to staff in a timely manner.
  • Assist with transporting crew members to and from work locations when required.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with customers and site representatives.
  • Support the growth and success of individuals with disabilities by providing meaningful training, guidance, and workplace support.
  • Help employees develop job skills, workplace behaviors, and independence.
  • Complete required monthly and quarterly assessments and documentation.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that encourages personal and professional growth.
