CCTV Operator
About The Position
The CCTV Operator is responsible for operating remote cameras that utilize CCTV to record interiors of various pipelines for inspections. This role determines if cleaning is needed, the type of cleaning required, and if the pipeline is a candidate for lining. The position also involves jetting, cabling, installing clean-outs, locating manholes from a map, and performing miscellaneous related duties and special projects as assigned. The operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all equipment, supporting sewer maintenance, inspection, and rehabilitation pipeline tasks, and repairing various pipelines using specific products and processes. This role also involves difficult skilled work supervising and participating in the jetting of sewer lines and vacuuming of manholes and lift stations, setting up and taking down traffic control in the street, storing footage, and watching surveillance.
Requirements
- At least 1-year experience with water, sewer, televising, jetting, or CIPP construction
- General knowledge of the operation of closed video camera equipment, and high pressure sewer cleaning equipment
- Strong knowledge of plans and specifications
- Proficient skills with lasers, line and grade
- Strong customer service and communication skills along with mechanical aptitude are required
- General knowledge of the occupational hazards of the work and of necessary safety precautions
