About The Position

The CES CCTV Operator is responsible for ensuring safety, planning work, conducting inspections, maintaining production logs, organizing data, managing other operators and helpers, maintaining equipment, mapping, handling UTC (Underground Utility) information, managing supply orders and inventory, and tracking miles and hours. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and effective communication with project managers.

Requirements

  • Must have NASSCO PACP certification or be able to obtain it.
  • Accurate inspection skills, including correct coding, proper clock positions, and appropriate photo documentation.
  • Ability to determine the correct method and application of flow control devices.
  • Proficiency in performing quality control self-checks on data.
  • Familiarity with reel calibration procedures and ability to calibrate within 3%.
  • Ability to track man hours, downtime, and equipment usage.
  • Knowledge of task codes such as CCTV, Cleaning, Root Cutting, Traffic Flagmen.
  • Ability to organize data on a van computer, including using folders and ensuring correct media paths in Granite.
  • Ability to manage Jet/Vac operators and helpers.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections (fluids, tire pressure, lights, etc.).
  • Maintain equipment and report issues promptly.
  • Service generators every 250 hours.
  • Service trucks every 3,000 miles.
  • Complete and submit Map Change forms on ProLog.
  • Understand and implement UTC procedures, including creating header screens in Granite.
  • Ability to locate and document Manholes (MHs) on Pro log and in Granite.
  • Submit written requests for supplies.
  • Participate in monthly inventory checks.
  • Turn in Miles and Hours at the beginning of the work week.
  • Mandatory participation in weekly safety meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety by ensuring drivers have spotters, signs and cones are properly placed, requesting flaggers when needed, and ensuring all crew members wear PPE.
  • Formulate a written plan for work to be completed for every 5 working days.
  • Manage Jet/Vac operators and helpers, including daily vehicle inspections, checking fluids, tire pressure, lights, and ensuring equipment is clean.
  • Obtain and maintain NASSCO PACP certification.
  • Perform accurate inspections, ensuring correct coding, proper clock positions, and taking photos with the entire defect in view.
  • Determine the correct method and application of flow control devices.
  • Perform quality control self-checks on data and follow proper procedures for reel calibration.
  • Turn in Production Logs daily upon return to the yard without exception, tracking man hours, downtime, equipment usage, and task codes.
  • Ensure all data is organized on the van computer, including utilizing folders on the computer and hard drive, and ensuring the correct media path in Granite.
  • Achieve a production rate of 1500 feet/day for cleaning/CCTV.
  • Punch in time for other employees.
  • Collect depths and hard tape footage.
  • Maintain equipment by addressing repairs promptly to avoid costly downtime.
  • Service generators every 250 hours and trucks every 3,000 miles.
  • Complete and submit a Map Change form on ProLog, update maps, and call if uncertain about mapping details.
  • Include UTC lines on Pro logs and create a UTC header screen in Granite.
  • Make every effort to find MHs (Manholes) and note them on the Pro log and in Granite.
  • Submit a written request for supplies and participate in monthly inventory checks.
  • Plan all repair issues ahead of time so the Project Manager can acquire the proper tools and parts.
  • Turn in Miles and Hours at the beginning of the work week.
  • Participate in weekly safety meetings, with contribution appreciated.
