CCMA - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - Pulmonology
About The Position
American Medical Group is growing again and looking to add Certified Clinical/Registered Medical Assistant's for both administrative and clinical tasks in our Pulmonology department in Fort Walton Beach. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent patient service abilities, and a passion for supporting patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will assist physicians and advanced practice providers in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring an efficient and positive patient experience.
Requirements
- CCMA or RMA Certification
- Able to pass a background check
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Pulmonology, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Specialty Care.
- Familiarity with pulmonary function testing, oxygen therapy, or respiratory treatments is desirable.
- BLS/CPR Certification.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, medical histories, and medication lists.
- Prepare patients for pulmonary examinations and procedures.
- Assist providers with in-office procedures and treatments.
- Perform and document pulmonary function testing (PFTs) as directed.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments within scope of practice.
- Facilitate patient education regarding respiratory conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
- Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and assist with prior authorizations.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
