About The Position

The House Majority Office (HMO) is seeking a strategic, politically savvy digital communicator to join our team as the Director of Digital Media. This newly created role is ideal for someone who understands Oregon’s political landscape, communicates with clarity and purpose, and knows how to build meaningful engagement across digital platforms. As the Director of Digital Media, you will shape the HMO’s online presence by developing content, messaging, and digital campaigns that reflect our caucus priorities and policy goals. Working closely with the Caucus Administrator and Communications Director, you will lead efforts to expand awareness, accessibility, and public engagement with the work of the HMO. This role requires a collaborative, team‑centered professional who can coordinate effectively with internal staff, legislators, and external partners to ensure consistent, accurate, and compelling messaging. Additionally, the successful candidate will stay current on digital communication best practices, analytics, and emerging tools to strengthen the HMO’s online presence. This is a full-time continuing position. The work of the Director of Digital Media takes place in the Capitol in Salem during legislative sessions and interim legislative days, with flexibility for remote work the rest of the year as business needs allow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to demonstrate ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered.
  • Must have a valid e-mail address to apply.
  • Personal, stable, and high-speed internet access will be required to perform the functions of this position while working from home.
  • Must complete the US Department of Homeland Security’s Form I-9, confirming authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
  • Must present documents that establish employment authorization and identity within three business days from their first day of employment.
