About The Position

The Catholic Religious Education Coordinator (CREC) is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and administering comprehensive Catholic religious education programs at Joint Base Andrews. In direct coordination with the Chaplain-in-Charge, the CREC ensures programs are delivered in a structured, compliant, and mission-supportive manner aligned with Department of Defense (DoD) and Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute Catholic religious education programs, including RCIA, CCD, VBS, Baptismal Preparation, and Holy Day events, in alignment with chaplain guidance.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and manage volunteer teachers and assistants, including maintaining training records and participation tracking.
• Coordinate with chapel leadership, staff, and councils; conduct parent meetings; and support youth ministry engagement.
• Prepare and submit weekly activity reports, an annual program review, after-action reports (AARs), and quarterly financial projections.
• Develop and submit promotional materials, supply requests, and ministry event proposals for chaplain approval 90 days in advance.
