About The Position
Under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the Cath Lab Tech assists with procedures by scrubbing or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab. The role ensures the procedure room is adequately prepared and monitors par levels of instruments and supplies. The position also participates in departmental staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and training new staff, and assists with invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Requirements
- ARRT-R and a license as required by the state, or certification as a Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- BCLS (AHA) certification is required upon hire and must be kept current.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within 30 days of hire.
- Proficient computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a cardiovascular lab.
- Completion of a cardiovascular technologist training program with an emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.
