Cath Lab/IR Technologist
About The Position
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Cath Lab/IR Tech for a 12-week assignment in Victorville, Ca. This role is in the Cardiac Cath Lab department and offers per diem day shifts. The position involves assisting physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab by scrubbing or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data. The technologist will ensure the procedure room is prepared, maintain inventory of instruments and supplies, and participate in departmental activities including staff meetings, performance improvement, and training. The role also supports all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Requirements
- ARRT-R and licenses as required by State.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- ACLS certificate required within 30 days of hire.
- Proficient computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab and/or Interventional Radiology.
- Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
- Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
- Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.
- Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff.
- Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
