About The Position

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the Cath Lab/IR Technologist will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. The role ensures the procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure and monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. This position participates in departmental staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and the training of new staff, assisting in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. This is a Full-Time, Days position with 10-hour shifts, from 7a-5:30p at Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL.

Requirements

• ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
• Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
