About The Position

Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is seeking a Catering Warehouse Expeditor for their Norfolk location. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the catering warehouse by preparing and organizing food and supplies for events. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, and enjoys making others' jobs easier. This position offers a flexible schedule with weekend availability needed and is a part-time role.

Requirements

• Warehouse or similar experience preferred.
• Able to frequently bend, stoop and lift (up to 75lbs).
• Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures.

Nice To Haves

• Previous catering, event, or hospitality background a plus.
• Knowledge of catering terminology a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food is prepared and moved to the expo area with the appropriate priority.
• Verify that the type and quantity of prepared food match event requirements by following the menu on the worksheet.
• Pack food quickly and accurately to maintain proper temperature and freshness.
• Ensure hot foods are held at safe temperatures and cold foods are kept properly chilled to maintain food safety standards.
• Portion and package ingredients for signature cocktails and mixers.
• Organize and label orders by event to allow the warehouse team to efficiently retrieve items.
• Pull and pack expo items (disposables) for events.
• Pull and pack bar items for events.
• Notify Warehouse Manager when disposable inventory is low.
• Keep the tasting room clean, organized, and fully stocked (Hampton Roads only).
• Assist with picking up event-specific items or fulfilling special requests as needed.
• Support order preparation by making iced tea, lemonade, filling coolers with ice, packing disposables, and completing other related tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the expo area.
• Assist with additional catering warehouse duties as needed.
