About The Position

Civic Hotel, Autograph Collection, is seeking a Part-Time Catering Server to provide food and beverage services to guests with friendliness, enthusiasm, professionalism, and efficiency. This role is ideal for individuals who care about creating a warm, seamless guest experience, take pride in hospitality details, and enjoy being part of a busy, guest-focused team. The ideal candidate is a team player, can multitask, and thrives in a fast-paced environment, embodying authenticity, accountability, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Serving It Right certificate
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Capable of performing well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective team player with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues
  • Attentive to guest needs, maintaining composure and courtesy at all times
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 60 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to navigate stairs as needed

Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistent professional, friendly, and engaging service to all guests.
  • Assist guests with informative and helpful responses.
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage items.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation protocols when handling food and beverages.
  • Serve food and beverages, clear tables, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • Maintain safety in service corridors by keeping areas clear to comply with local fire codes.
  • Manage catering equipment and linens responsibly.
  • Address spills and breakages promptly.
  • Assist with the arrangement and movement of tables and chairs as needed.
  • Report any issues or complaints to department leaders.
  • Ensure proper handling, use, and storage of all equipment.
  • Oversee room setups and teardowns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
