As a Catering Sales Manager, you will drive revenue through proactive sales efforts, secure new business, and maintain strong existing client relationships while ensuring exceptional execution of all events. This role is responsible for maximizing hotel profitability through strategic sales initiatives, contract negotiation, and seamless event delivery—all while maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction.   • Collaborate closely with internal departments.
  • Communicate event details and updates.
  • Guide clients through menu planning, event details, and logistics.
  • Coordinate with the Banquet team on food & beverage, setup, and décor.
  • Conduct site tours, familiarization events, and off-site presentations.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events and trade shows.
  • Oversee event execution.
  • Conduct pre-event inspections of function spaces.
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact during events.
  • Resolve any issues in real time.
  • Monitor all phases of events (setup, execution, refresh, and breakdown).
  • Ensure adherence to timelines, service standards, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct post-event follow-up.
  • Assess satisfaction and address feedback.
  • Secure repeat and referral business.
  • Support departmental initiatives including sales action plans, annual budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a diverse client base (corporate, social, associations, and group business) through proactive sales efforts, including prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Respond to inquiries promptly and prepare customized proposals in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Negotiate catering contracts, meeting space, and hotel services within approved parameters; prepare and review contracts, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and banquet checks with accuracy.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date client information in CRM systems; generate monthly reports, forecasts, and performance insights for assigned segments.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure all sales agreements are executed effectively; communicate event details and updates as needed to support operational success.
  • Guide clients through menu planning, event details, and logistics, coordinating closely with the Banquet team on food & beverage, setup, and décor.
  • Conduct site tours, familiarization events, and off-site presentations to showcase the property and drive new business; represent the hotel at industry events and trade shows.
  • Oversee event execution, including pre-event inspections of function spaces to ensure all setups align with client expectations and hotel standards.
