This role is responsible for selling and servicing banquet and meeting functions to achieve catering department goals. The position involves overseeing all catering sales, targeting both existing and new corporate and social markets. The Catering Sales Manager will solicit new business through prospecting calls and outside client visits, and maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel. This includes handling account details, preparing and documenting solicitations and closings, and servicing accounts by managing BEOs and Group Resumes as needed. The role also involves preparing information for, meeting with, and entertaining clients to secure potential business, and ensuring an exceptional level of service and high-quality catered products for clients. Effective verbal and written communication with staff is essential, as is practicing safe work habits in accordance with safety standards.
