The Catering Sales Manager is a key driver of Domenico’s event business, responsible for converting leads into unforgettable events and maintaining our high standards of guest experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, has a minimum of five years experience of event planning, and embodies Domenico’s values and heartfelt hospitality in every interaction. At Domenico Catering + Events, we transform milestones into memories within our 14,000 sq ft urban winery in San Carlos. We host hundreds of weddings, mitzvahs, corporate galas, and show-stopping fundraisers annually, blending artisan cuisine, award-winning wines, and top-notch service with bold creativity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years experience of event planning
  • Coachability & Drive: You bring relentless curiosity, take feedback fast, and turn it into action.
  • Hustle Over History: You love the chase, hit daily activity goals, and won’t blink at evening or weekend work when that’s what it takes to win.
  • Learning Mind-Set: Eager to master our daily sales training program, including role playing, and apply it immediately to real prospects.
  • Communication Prowess: Clear, persuasive writing and speaking skills, plus sharp attention to detail that keeps proposals flawless and events on track.

  • Collaborative Spirit: Comfortable partnering with Culinary, Production, and Operations teams to ensure every event delights the client and meets margin goals.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue: Own the full sales cycle, from rapid-response lead follow-up to closing high-value contracts, ensuring sales targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate referral pipelines with other venues, event planners, vendors, and corporate clients to fuel growth.
  • Collaborate Seamlessly: Partner with Culinary, Production, and Operations teams to customize menus, implement upsell enhancements, and ensure a flawless event handoff.
  • Lead with Precision: Conduct venue tours, discovery calls, and contract negotiations with magnetic communication and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Innovate & Upsell: Create tailored event packages and propose enhancements, such as team-building experiences or specialty vendors, to maximize profitability.
