About The Position

The Catering Manager 3 is the on‑site leader responsible for delivering high‑end, seamless catering operations for Sodexo’s Corporate Services account in Hudson Yards, New York City. This role oversees all aspects of catering production, service execution, event logistics, and client engagement within a fast‑paced, high‑visibility corporate environment. As the primary driver of catering excellence, the Catering Manager 3 manages event planning, staffing, service standards, and day‑of execution across a diverse portfolio of corporate events—from executive meetings and board‑level functions to large‑scale receptions and specialty activations. Success in this role requires strong expertise in premium catering operations, event logistics management, and client service leadership. The Catering Manager 3 partners closely with the General Manager, Executive Chef, and client stakeholders to ensure flawless event delivery and continuous improvement. This includes excellence in food safety compliance, labor and financial oversight, and team development. Requirements

  • Premium Catering Expertise — Strong background in high‑end corporate catering, executive events, and polished service delivery.
  • Event Logistics & Planning Skills — Proven ability to coordinate timelines, setups, staffing, and service flow for complex corporate events.
  • Front‑of‑House Leadership — Experience training, coaching, and motivating catering service teams to deliver elevated hospitality.
  • Food Safety & Compliance Knowledge — Solid understanding of HACCP, regulatory requirements, and Sodexo standards with a commitment to maintaining an audit‑ready operation.
  • Financial & Labor Management Experience — Skilled in labor planning, scheduling, cost control, and supporting budget alignment for catering programs.
  • Strong Communication & Client Partnership — Effective communicator who collaborates well with culinary leadership, the GM, and client stakeholders to enhance service and elevate the guest experience.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Partner With Culinary & Client Leadership — Collaborate with the Executive Chef, GM, and client stakeholders to enhance service standards, innovate offerings, and elevate the guest experience.
