About The Position

Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, prepares chef-crafted meals and provides catering services for corporate functions, weddings, and social events. The Catering Line Cook helps the Chef prepare dishes and meals in a scratch kitchen. Most work takes place in the catering kitchen, with occasional on-site event work plating food and staffing action stations such as carving and sandwich stations. Full-time and part-time positions are available, and Saturday shifts are required.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of kitchen terminology.
• At least 3 years of kitchen experience.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• For full-time positions, availability to work 30–50 hours on weekdays and weekends.
• For part-time positions, flexible availability on weekdays and weekends.
• Saturday shifts are required.

• Previous catering cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Wash, chop, cut, weigh, and mix ingredients and garnish finished dishes.
• Clean, set up, and break down kitchen equipment, appliances, and work areas.
• Cover, label, date, and store food products according to food safety rules.
• Plate food and work action stations at occasional off-site catering events.
• Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment as needed.
• Follow food safety and general safety guidelines.
