Ritual Coffee RoastersSan Francisco, CA

About The Position

The Ritual Coffee Catering Lead is an organized, flexible, and enthusiastic cafe team member who collaborates with oversight from the Catering Manager to ensure catering events run smoothly and fulfill the mission of Ritual’s Catering & Events department. This department aims to provide people with the best coffee experience they’ve ever had, in new and unusual settings, without the benefit of a cafe's infrastructure. The Catering Lead works proactively with the Catering Manager to meet the scheduling needs of the catering department by working in catering for up to 29 hours a week. This position may work dynamically between shifts in the cafe and event-related work. Event work includes, but is not limited to: managing the catering inbox, managing operations at specified events, working as a barista, and acting as the primary or secondary point-person for clients and employees on-site. These hours can be irregular, may sometimes require overtime, and may be very early or late in the day. The role maintains Ritual's great reputation for catering by delivering excellent customer service and high-quality products at all events. While exact systems knowledge is not required initially, the role demands strategic thinking and commitment to the success of the catering department, co-workers, and the company. This role requires actively jumping in and developing solutions where needed. Flexibility, leading by example, and openness to feedback are essential. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver and a self-starter with a strong interest in and appreciation for coffee and people, inspired by creating unique experiences, with a talent for operations and coffee, and wholeheartedly enthusiastic about delivering exceptional customer service.
