About The Position

The Catering Event Coordinator provides administrative, sales, and event coordination support for weddings, meetings, social events, and group business. This role also provides administrative support to the Hotel General Manager and plays an important role in ensuring smooth daily operations. You will serve as a liaison between clients and hotel departments to ensure every event is planned with precision and executed with excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel, catering, banquet, event, sales, or hospitality experience
  • Experience in administrative or executive support
  • Knowledge of Delphi, Opera, Amadeus, or similar systems
  • Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Luxury or full-service hotel experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), event resumes, contracts, and client correspondence
  • Coordinate event logistics, room blocks, guestroom needs, VIP requests, and special arrangements
  • Support site tours, tastings, planning meetings, and client follow-up
  • Assist with banquet event execution and on-site coordination
  • Partner with Banquets, Culinary, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Sales teams
  • Provide administrative support to the Hotel General Manager, including calendars, reports, meetings, and special projects
  • Maintain organized files, calendars, schedules, and office systems
  • Deliver exceptional service to clients, guests, and internal teams
  • Responsible for the sales of small business groups.
  • Actively develop and nurture accounts to result in additional room nights and overall revenue.
  • Help develop new ideas and ways to improve revenue and guest satisfaction scores.
