About The Position

The coordinator is responsible for managing special events related to catering for both Events and other departments. Catering often assists culinary on high production days with food preparation. Guest experience is a top priority, focusing on preparing and serving guests with excellence while reflecting SERVE. This position manages all steps of catering events from planning to execution, including inventory of stock items, planning daily pull lists for future events, scheduling staff, requesting volunteer assistance, food preparation, dining setup, tear-downs, and housekeeping of kitchen and storeroom areas. Travel to all ministry properties (Creation Museum, Headquarters, and Answers Academy) and any future locations is required, potentially using the catering van or box truck. Requirements

Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
Customer services skills: friendly and courteous with customers.
Attention to detail: eye on food standards, costs, safety.
Management skills: provides oversight of schedules, preparation and storage of food, and cleaning.
Problem-solving skills: ability to multitask and think quicky under pressure.
2 years of service experience.
Health department and Serve Safe certified or willingness to re-certify.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet, and outlook email
