About The Position

Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is seeking a part-time Catering Event Bartender for the Hampton Roads region. Requirements

• 2+ years of bartending experience, preferably in a catering/banquet setting.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to bend, twist, lift at least 50 pounds, and stand on feet for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Review the event worksheet before arriving at the event to be knowledgeable about the event details, timeline, bar type, and food.
• Check in with the Event Captain or Co-Captain upon arrival and departure.
• Assist with unloading the vehicle and setting up the bar area and all appropriate glassware.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests during the event.
• Answer guest questions about drink ingredients and make suggestions for beverages and cocktails.
• Verify that all guests served alcohol are of legal drinking age.
• Process payments for drinks if the event has a cash bar, using the Square app for cash or credit transactions.
• Clean up the bar area at the end of the event and pack remaining beverages.
• Assist with the general breakdown of the event, ensuring the area is clean and rentals are neatly stacked.
