About The Position

Join a mission‑driven team providing nutritious meals and supportive services to older adults in our community. The Catering Driver plays a vital role in ensuring meals are delivered safely, respectfully, and on time. Every delivery supports nutrition, independence, and connection for older adults in our community.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Reliable, safety‑focused, and independent worker.
Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
Ability to function in a fast moving and constantly changing environment.
Strong computer skills including use of web browsers and the internet.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Must maintain a current, valid Colorado Driver's License.
Must maintain the state issued minimum automotive liability insurance coverage.
Must observe and obey all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, criminal background checks, and a motor vehicle records review.
This position does require a background check by Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS).

Nice To Haves

Food service or delivery experience preferred.
ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Experience driving a box truck is a plus.
One or more months of transportation experience preferred.
Experience working with Senior Citizens preferred.
Experience handling money, such as donations, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely deliver meals to community dining sites
Load and unload meal carriers and supplies
Maintain accurate delivery logs and temperature records
Operate and inspect assigned vehicles
Support food prep, sanitation, inventory, and site operations
Provide friendly, respectful service to participants and volunteers
Will be required to drive on behalf of Silver Key Senior Services.
You will be responsible for driving a catering box truck.
Must maintain a current, valid Colorado Driver's License.
Must maintain the state issued minimum automotive liability insurance coverage.
Must observe and obey all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
You may be regularly interacting and engaging with volunteers, so it is your responsibility to show appreciation for their efforts and occasionally provide guidance.
