About The Position

As a Catering Director, you are responsible for catering and events. You will manage a team of staff, build client relationships, and ensure the catering offered to guests is of outstanding quality. The role oversees internal and external catering events and includes developing and maintaining the catering marketing plan, providing comprehensive event planning services to clients, and developing menus. You will hire, train, and schedule catering staff and contribute to the development of existing staff in service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures. You will also ensure successful catering operations, including labor and food cost control, food preparation, transportation, event setup and operation, and cleanup.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including 2 years in management; catering management experience is preferred.
Experience booking events, selecting and costing menu items, pricing contracts, and sourcing temporary help and equipment.
Ability to supervise food preparation, service, and cleanup.
