About The Position

This position is responsible for completing and maintaining all job performance requirements and standards as established in the employee handbook and Position Time and Duties. The Catering Attendant will maintain and promote a positive work environment with both internal and external customers and will have the ability to interact with Senior Leadership and be their point of contact for Catering events. Key duties include assembling, setting up, delivering, and serving catering requests, maintaining an on-going sense of urgency, attention to detail, and following food safety procedures for delivery scheduled catered events. The role also involves retrieving catered deliveries, cleaning rooms and following procedures for sanitation, and cleaning and sanitizing the work area and equipment at the end of the shift. Additionally, the Catering Attendant will maintain the Doctors Lounge by assembling salads, delivering soup, maintaining cleanliness, and stocking throughout service, and cleaning and sanitizing the area at the end of the meal period. The position requires reviewing scheduled catering events for the day, planning the delivery schedule, prepping food items as needed, and driving a vehicle if needed to deliver caterings. Assisting with floor stock as needed and preparing catering carts for the following day, ensuring all necessary utensils and equipment are present, are also responsibilities. The role includes securing pantries at the end of the service period, wrapping, labeling, dating, and properly storing all food items in accordance with safe food handling techniques, practices, and guidelines. Attending in-service meetings and other required training and meetings as directed, and completing My Learning within the allotted timeframe are also part of the job. The Catering Attendant will report defective equipment/supplies and unusual conditions to the supervisor, be responsible for catering equipment, including inventory and tracking of missing items, and alert the Supervisor to Customer issues and Complaints, maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance. Reviewing CaterTrax online Catering sheets and making adjustments from customers as needed, and using excel spreadsheets for additional past catering information are also required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Or equivalent
  • Experience in Food Service Operation
  • Experience in customer service
