About The Position

The Category Space Analyst (POGs) is a hybrid role based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, supporting Target and requiring three days per week in the office. The analyst leverages Blue Yonder (formerly JDA), CKB, and advanced Excel skills to generate data and insights that support category management and sales initiatives. Work includes category reviews, new item presentations, scorecards, assortment and shelving strategies, and ad hoc analytics.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of related work experience.
• Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Windows and related software applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Drive for results, pursuing assigned tasks with energy and a desire to achieve.
• Ability to understand and apply basic math and CPG principles in assigned work.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with others and work effectively within a team.
• Ability to follow clear directions.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Power BI and advanced macros.
• Experience with Blue Yonder, CKB, retailer POS, syndicated data, and/or category or space management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for National Shelving Study projects and initiatives using various CPG and retailer data sources and tools.
• Conduct quality control of data sources and ensure deliverables are accurate, engaging other business intelligence associates and data or tool vendors as needed.
• Build and update dashboards and provide insights.
• Participate in developing space-to-sales presentations that incorporate syndicated and other data sources and address business issues.
• Work closely with business managers to ensure quality results are delivered.
• Stay informed about client KPIs, strategies, innovation, and other important information.
