About The Position

The Category Space Analyst (POGs) is a hybrid role based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, requiring three days per week in the office and supporting Target. The role uses Blue Yonder (formerly JDA), CKB, and advanced Excel skills to generate data and insights for category management and sales initiatives, including category reviews, new item presentations, scorecards, assortment and shelving strategies, and ad hoc analytics. The analyst supports National Shelving Study projects, develops dashboards and space-to-sales presentations, ensures data and deliverable accuracy, and works closely with business managers and other BI associates.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of related work experience.
• Intermediate proficiency with Windows and related software applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to demonstrate drive for results and pursue assigned tasks with energy and a desire to achieve.
• Ability to understand and apply basic math and CPG principles in assigned work.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with others and work effectively within a team.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Power BI and advanced macros.
• Experience with Blue Yonder, CKB, retailer POS, syndicated data, and/or category or space management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for National Shelving Study projects and initiatives using various CPG and retailer data sources and tools.
• Perform quality control of data sources and ensure deliverable accuracy, engaging with BI associates and data or tool vendors as needed.
• Build and update dashboards and provide insights.
• Participate in developing space-to-sales presentations using syndicated data and other data sources to address business issues.
• Work closely with business managers to ensure quality results are delivered.
• Stay informed about client KPIs, strategies, innovation, and other important information.
