About The Position

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Category Sales Specialist. If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you! As a Category Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting High Rise Appliance projects and partner with an established team and vendors to provide project growth.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sales or project management experience required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong computer and MS Office skills, with emphasis on Excel
  • The ability to delegate work
  • Self-motivation and are process-oriented to manage multiple priorities
  • Very detailed and meticulous and comfortable performing within established processes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with residential and/or multifamily customer/commercial or facilities management, preferred
  • Project coordination of hospitality or multifamily construction, a huge plus

Responsibilities

  • Performing on site take-offs for potential commercial projects, and ongoing high rise projects
  • Lead and develop customer relationships on a local, regional, and national level, or combination thereof.
  • Responsible for counting products needed on site, etc.
  • Manages orders throughout the lifecycle to ensure that any changes to a job are communicated and accounted for.
  • Will work with Ferguson's Commercial sales Manager, BDM, and outside sales reps to help close sales and maintain ongoing jobs.
  • Responsible for job and order follow up including tracking of all pertinent information acquired after the intent to award is disclosed.
  • Alignment with inventory efficiency goals and maintenance of job performance against job expectations.
  • Frequent local travel required; occasional overnight travel required.
  • And any other assigned duties.
