Category Manager
About The Position
Chewy is seeking a Category Manager to manage the Beds & Furniture business. This role is for an experienced brand manager to drive growth for a strategic category, focusing on building world-class customer experiences and delivering exponential growth through innovative offerings and outstanding execution. The Category Manager will own the P&L, business strategy, and operations for their brand portfolio, developing marketing plans for customer acquisition, partnering with supply chain for inventory health, and driving growth. The ideal candidate is an experienced and versatile leader with a proven track record of high performance, who earns trust, operates at depth, and has experience in high-growth business environments.
Requirements
- Over three years of business experience in leading ecommerce business or brand.
- 3+ years of category or brand management experience.
- Strong comprehensive business insight.
- Proficient in vendor management, product management, marketing, supply chain, operations, and project management.
- Demonstrated success building and rapidly scaling new, complex businesses at high growth rate.
- Proven operator, skilled in high quality go-to-market execution, with an unshakable growth mindset.
- Excellent communication, strategic and analytical skills.
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Have full ownership of brand sales encompassing assortment, pricing, promotions, and brand performance.
- Deliver outstanding execution across vendor operations, including but not limited to item and content setup, ordering/forecasting, promotional planning, etc.
- Define the strategy to build the business, deliver rapid growth, launch new products, and expand vendor relationships.
- Analyze market, customer, and data insights to elevate performance and refine strategies.
