Montefiore is recruiting for seasoned Supply Chain leaders to provide expertise, create efficiencies, realize financial savings, take full advantage of System technology, and add value for our Clinicians and Associates. The Category Manager position requires an experienced sourcing professional with a background in non-clinical materials and services contracting with superior analytic and problem-solving skills supporting a fast-paced, transformation-oriented work environment. The position requires experience in contract spend areas such as but not limited to, Facilities and Maintenance Operations (MRO), Construction and Capital Projects, Professional and Consulting Services, Human Resources, Financial Services, and Non-Clinical Capital Equipment. This position will serve as the strategic business owner for assigned non-clinical spend categories and supplier relationships. The Category Manager will develop and execute category strategies that align organizational objectives, operational requirements, supplier market dynamics, and financial goals. Working collaboratively with business leaders across Facilities, Human Resources, Finance, Construction, and other operational departments, this individual will drive contractual compliance, supplier performance, risk mitigation, value realization, and continuous improvement across Montefiore's non-clinical portfolio. The Category Manager will establish and manage strategic supplier relationships, utilizing performance metrics, business reviews, and market intelligence to improve service, reduce risk, and maximize value.
