As a Category Manager (Electronics), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. You will be responsible for the commercial, strategic and tactical operational management of electronics components and/or electronic contract manufacturing suppliers to ensure Solventum product availability by developing and maintaining a competitive supply base for Solventum. You will manage and partner with suppliers to develop business relationships that deliver effective operational control to agreed performance levels (service/performance, cost, quality and working capital) via contractual agreements, periodic business reviews and scorecards. You will identify, lead & implement solutions to complex and multi-faceted situations including contract negotiations, category strategies, supplier management, internal/external sources of supply and dual-sourcing decisions. You will engage with key affiliates within Solventum [Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Business team, Regulatory, etc.] to ensure timely issue resolution and completion of strategic business projects. You will develop continuous supply chain improvement practices to support the focus on delivering improved value and performance levels (e.g. lead time reductions, increasing supply chain agility, capacity availability, cost reductions, risk assessments/risk mitigations, etc). You will engage and lead (as needed): RFP/RFQ process, contract negotiations, benchmarking activities, make vs buy reviews/decisions, should cost analysis, total cost analysis, supply chain mapping and New Product Introduction initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND seven (7) years of experience in electronic components and/or electronics finished goods contract manufacturing
  • Experience managing and developing supplier relationships
  • Experience negotiating supplier or manufacturing contracts
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with electronics contract manufacturing, including components such as PCBAs, displays, pumps/motors, power supplies, or cables
  • Experience resolving complex supply chain issues involving multiple stakeholders, including applying decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation approaches
  • Experience communicating and collaborating effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization
  • Experience applying knowledge of Supply Chain Finance, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), product validation requirements, or regulatory expectations
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on complex projects
  • Experience managing projects, including coordinating timelines, resources, risks, and deliverables across cross-functional teams

Responsibilities
