About The Position

The Aspen Group (TAG) is seeking a Category Manager, Clinical Goods & Services to join their dedicated team. This role involves developing and executing category strategies for clinical goods and services, leading strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and collaborating with clinical and operational stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare procurement and a strong understanding of supply chain management in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement.
  • Experience in healthcare, dental, or multi-site clinical environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
  • Experience with procurement systems such as Coupa, Ariba, Oracle, or SAP.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with supply chain analytics and sourcing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies for clinical goods and services including dental supplies, implants, lab services, medical supplies, and clinical equipment.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives (RFPs, RFQs), supplier negotiations, and contract execution to deliver measurable cost savings and value.
  • Partner with clinical leaders (dentists, physicians, hygienists, and operational leaders) to align sourcing decisions with clinical needs and patient outcomes.
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive product standardization and SKU rationalization across TAG-supported brands where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, internal policies, and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of critical clinical supplies.
  • Track and report savings, cost avoidance, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with key suppliers to improve service levels, innovation, and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as fill rates, quality, pricing adherence, and service levels.
  • Lead business reviews and resolve supplier performance issues proactively.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clinical and operational stakeholders across Aspen Dental, ClearChoice, and WellNow.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Support change management initiatives related to new product introductions or supplier transitions.
