About The Position

Kenvue is seeking a Category Analyst, Dollar to join their team. This role is responsible for building, developing, and shaping category growth plans based on key data, shopper and category insights, and trends. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, collaboration abilities, project leadership, and the capacity to translate insights and data into strategic recommendations. This position requires operating effectively in a high-level, fast-paced, complex, and evolving business environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 1-2 years prior experience in customer sales, category insights/management, analytics, shopper marketing/insights, or related field in a consumer products environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
  • Ability to assess, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from sales and customer data is required.
  • Ability to craft impactful presentations to explain recommendations and findings of analyses, resources and studies is required.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with syndicated data, such as Nielsen or Circana is preferred.
  • Prior Health and Beauty Care (HBC) and Self Care (OTC) category experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience with JDA or other space planning software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Actively uncover business opportunities with deep-dive analytics using various resources including, but not limited to: retailer point-of-sale data, syndicated data (Circana/Nielsen), marketplace and household panel assessments to independently discern trends and provide insights-based recommendations to deliver sales objectives.
  • Integrate omnichannel initiatives into analysis of business results, uncovering transformational omni category insights and solutions for our customers / shoppers / consumers that deliver on critical metrics for in-store and online.
  • Lead category presentations at assigned customers.
  • Develop assortment optimization recommendations for online and in-store by providing shopper, category, brand and/or customer insights.
  • Collaborate with Customer Development Managers to evolve promotional plans, evaluate the impact of pricing and track competitive activity to unlock internal and external growth opportunities.
  • Build customer relationships and serve as a trusted category partner, providing support during planogram line review processes.
  • Work with internal partners to provide voice-of-customer insights to craft our go-to-market initiatives and to provide an understanding of the external marketplace.
  • Find opportunities to deliver strategic seasonal priorities for the business.
  • Develop, utilize and share best practices to improve functional efficiency and accuracy of findings and recommendations.
  • Ensure that data is organized, reported and error-free when devising data sets through careful review and refinement prior to running analytical tests.
