About The Position

The Category Analyst provides support to the Collision Team in everyday operations of their category. They are responsible for conducting analysis of category performance and industry trends, providing business recommendations on assortment, pricing, promotional planning, customer experience, and vendor management. The Category Analyst identifies actionable recommendations on assortment, pricing, and fulfillment strategies. This individual is also responsible for the execution of the category strategy initiatives in support of the Collision Team.

Requirements

  • Data proficiency with an eye toward problem solving and report optimization.
  • Detail oriented/ able to drive actionable items from analyzing data sets.
  • Experience dealing with large data sets, manipulating data with tools such as Retool or Databricks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - comfortable using excel VLOOKUPs and pivots.
  • 1 year or more of Product Management/Merchandising or related Business team experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • Ecommerce experience, preferred.
  • Aftermarket automotive experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generates and analyzes reports to support the CPM process.
  • Assists the team with identifying and resolving performance gaps to forecast and budget.
  • Provides business recommendations.
  • Understands, analyzes, and provides support and recommendations to the team for all aspects associated with assortment planning and process.
  • Provides tactical support for reporting, product assortment, and SKU setup.
  • Manages ongoing maintenance to the assortment.
  • Collaborates on promotional and pricing management and executes associated activities.
  • Responsible for creating and prioritizing key offers and promo messages.
  • Proactively evaluates and optimizes product content opportunities in collaboration with internal partners and vendors.
  • Collaborates on returns management and executes associated activities.
  • Responsible for providing actionable items to resolve the ongoing return cases.
  • Monitor for outliers and maintain return rates under threshold.
