About The Position

This is a hybrid position that necessitates the candidate's presence in our Rosemont office when not traveling. The ideal candidate should be prepared to travel up to 50% of the time. The Category Analyst will develop, track, and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories. This role involves analyzing specific product lines, product assortment, sourcing options, profitability, and market trends to identify cost savings and profitability. The analyst will also manage supplier relationships, resolve supply issues for globally and domestically procured products, and assist the Category Management Team with key vendor activities. Conducting business reviews with vendors and negotiating supply agreements to secure the highest quality goods and the right value based on market changes, supply chain movement, and various product offerings are key responsibilities. The role also includes developing and communicating changes and updates to the Supplier Agreement to different entities involved with Category Management. The ability to travel is up to 50% as required based on job requirements and customer support needs. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6 plus years of related experience or High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) with 9 plus years of specific experience

Responsibilities
